core파일이란?

Core files are created when a program encounters a run-time error.

 The core file is, in essence, an instantaneous picture of a failing process at the moment it attempts to do something very wrong.

The CORE file is a Linux Core Dump Data.

 

리눅스에서는 gcore 명령어를 통해 코어덤프를 남길 수 있다. 

리눅스에서 fore1.core 파일의 형식을 확인했다. 

strings 명령어로 fore1.core의 문자열을 찾아봤다. 

ALEXCTF로 검색했을 때는 안 나왔는데

문자열들을 하나하나씩 보다보니

ALEXCTF만 대문자로 표현해둔 곳이 보였다.

해당 문자열 안에서 5개씩 건너뛰면 flag값인 규칙이 있다.

 

 결과 flag값은

ALEXCTF{K33P_7H3_g00D_w0rk_up}
